what is foodcourt?
The assignment for this project was to create an ordering app for a dish. The app and everything else is inspired by country of origin of te dish. The dish I chose was bubble tea and the country of origin is Taiwan. I chose this because bubble tea is my all-time favourite drink and because Taiwan seemed like a really cool country.

I started this project by doing a lot of research on bubble tea and its origins. I made mindmaps and collages that showcase this research. I made the mindmap in procreate and the collages on paper and in photoshop.

To create the app I had to pick a style in which I wanted my ingredients and final style to be so made a bunch of sketches in different styles. These were made in illustrator, procreate and on paper with pencil, fineliners and watercolor.

The final app was made in Adobe XD. All the ingredients were made in Illustrator. I really struggled with XD for a while but in the end I feel like it came together very nicely. I feel like it’s exactly what I pictured in my mind and the style from my sketches translated very well. This is a prototype and not a real app so only one path works, the correct order is:
Lavender- Whole milk- Tapioca – Reusable cup.
